Read a certain way, the first notice from the DC Board of Elections & Ethics could have been construed as indicating that the one Early Vote Center at One Judiciary Square was the only site at which people could vote on April 23. Hence, the clarification.

No Natstown, all 143 precincts will be open on Special Election Day!

EARLY VOTING BEGINS TODAY IN DISTRICT

A Special Election will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 to fill a vacancy for an At-Large Member of the Council of the District of Columbia, and to vote on Charter Amendment VIII (local budget autonomy). Poll hours: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The One Judiciary Square site is the only location open for early voting: today through Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. (Closed on Sunday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 16.) The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Wednesday, April 17.
